Being Black & Chinese in China

Lou, the Black Chinese girl, in this American Idol-esque competition has been the subject of national scrutiny regarding her complexion. People have written that she is not Chineses and needs to get out of China. China is not the melting pot that some places in America are. Although they have over 50 different ethnic group, the gene pool there is primarily Han.

It has been a shocking ordeal for someone who says she always considered herself just like every other Chinese girl."Sometimes people on the street would ask me, 'Why do you speak Chinese so well?' I'd just say, 'Because I'm Chinese!'" Lou said.

And some people only thought it was the Caucasians with the issue of race, it happens everywhere. The children left in Vietnam, Korea, Thailand and Japan by African American servicemen suffer the same fate, if not worse. Now that the Chinese presence is being felt in parts of Africa, lets see how many children will left behind after they're long gone back to China.

It is intense in China, they are very much racie conscious and some do not want to be "poisoned" with certain American ideals such as diversity. But it is obvious from her long stint on the competition that many are open minded.

The voice was not rockin.

Heritage natural hair salon is most unprofessional hair salon in California. The consultants are never on time, and they will never tell their clients if the sista locks is for them, instead they will continue to take your money and make you believe that everyone can wear sista locks. That is no true is base on your hair texture.

This hair salon only goal is to make money off of people misfortunes. I have asked my consultant on several occasions if this was the right choice. The answer, I would get as I paid monthly, was it takes time for your hair to lock.

I asked my consultant Julia Walker to take my hair out. She became upset and decides that she did not want to provide services anymore. Instead of having an adult conversation about discontinuing services she book another person in my slot.

Julia then tried to act as if it was my fault that she was 20-mintues late without call me. It was to my surprise when called the shop 1-hour later she had already booked another person in my slot for that same day.

This is not the kind of services; African American Women should have to endure. The purpose the sista locks is to have a unify bond. This salon purpose is only about making money..............
