Would You Do This 3 Times?

Would you stick this thru your nostril 3 times?

I don't know if I will or not. The first time I got it done was last fall, but the piercer fitted the ring to snugly and had to pierce it again. Now, I had the flu around a month ago and could not blow my nose over and over again with the piercing. So, I took it out and it closed up in 2 days. I like my nose ring, but I don't know if it's worth the expense, maintenance, or pain involved although I like the look of it usually. Thoughts?

Ouch....that is my thought.
How long does it take to completely heal? That would be a good thing to know before doing it again in case you have to remove it again.

Yes, do it! I've had mine for 7 years now. Granted it was a while back but I thought it was relatively painless. Like a quick hard pinch and then I couldn't feel it anymore once the stud was in. Now I forget I even have it.

I wouldn't do it. But then again, I gave birth naturally three times.
and I have 4 tattoos. But if you want it back then it should be worth the pain.

good lord that's what they use?!? shit...

My opinion is skewed...I have no problems getting tattoos but I have a thing about being pierced...

if that makes any sense. lol

Thanks ladies! I think I am going to pass for now. I need to get glasses instead. And glasses with a nose stud and big earrings may look like too many accessories on my face. After I get glasses, I think I will revisit the piercing if I feel like it and if it looks right. We have all seen people (e.g. rapper Lil' John) with too much going on in the accessory dept. I don't want to be one of them. LOL!

@sez- It takes a long time to heal. He said that I needed to keep a ring or stud in for at least a year.

@cluizel- Yes ma'am! That's what they use. It hurts, and they push it all the way thru. You can hear your nostril tearing with the needle. The pain was like a toothache on my nose because I had swelling.

@muslimahlocs- We were not affected by the tornado. Thanks to God!

Hey Sophia,

I got mine done a few years ago, and suprisingly enough, it was a totally painless experience.

I went to a place here in Chicago called Jade Dragon tattoo, which is pretty well-known for tats and piercings. I really had a sense that the guy knew what he was going. Before I knew it, it was all over and I didn't feel a thing.

I've since let it close because I just simply got tired of it. I wore a beautiful 18kt gold cultured pearl and emerald nose-ring that I made, but again, I just got tired of it.

You had one of the L-shaped/U-shaped posts and still had problems blowing your nose?

whoops, sorry for the typos. fingers moving too fast. ;-)

I want to pierce my nose again!

I thought about this post after seeing an old photo with my nose ring (just this time last year)--I'm wishing I hadn't let it close.

I'm seriously considering doing it all over again! ;-) Second time would be it though.

If I do it, I want one that's barely perceptible. The nose rings I had before were pretty small, but I've seen smaller.

Have you decided yet?
