2007 BET Awards- The Good, Bad, Ugly, Sexy, and WTF

The Good:
Don Cheadle's acceptance speech. It was simple, humble, and humorous.

BET AWARDS '07 Don Cheadle, BET Humanitarian Award Recipient

Don Cheadle is the recipient of the Humanitarian Award for the BET Awards 2007. Don Cheadle has a new mission in life: raising awareness about the atrocities being carried out in what the United Nations says is the world's worst humanitarian crisis. After acting in Hotel Rwanda (2004), a film about the early 1990s Rwandan genocide, he became an activist to raise awareness of the mid-2000s genocide in the Darfur region of Sudan. In January 2005, he traveled to Sudan with five members of Congress to see refugee camps and to meet survivors of the genocide. Upon his return, he reported on his trip for "ABC News Nightline". In 2007 the book Not on Our Watch: The Mission to End Genocide in Darfur and Beyond was published, which Cheadle co-wrote with John Prendergast, a humanitarian with much experience in Africa with the International Crisis Group.

The Bad- Bad Azz here: Look at Erykah's performance. I love it!

The Ugly:

Lil Kim- It's just too much. Please stop it! The plastic surgery is to correct not create. Ewwh! And her performance was horrible. I couldn't understand what she was saying.

The Sexy:

Eva Pigford- Showing sexy is not how much skin you can show or how "alley" you can be. She is regal and stunning.

Reggie Bush- OMG! Crush at first sight!

The WTF?
Public Enemy paid tribute to soul legend James Brown at the BET Awards last night (June 26), with a performance of his hit 'Say It Loud (I'm Black And I'm Proud)' .Flavor Flav and Chuck D also performed a medley of their own material, featuring some of their most famous songs including 'Fight The Power' and '911 Is A Joke'. Bootsy Collins joined the pair for their tribute to Brown who passed away late last year.

I am really disappointed that James Brown was given a shorter, less in-depth tribute. He deserves much more. In addition, I disliked the audience participation with fists in the air and "I'm Black and I'm Proud". It was ridiculous, for the people in the audience that were Black, they certainly didn't look proud to be Black. They looked happy to be on TV... not proud in any sense.

Lil'Kim is a damn mess...I am surprised she doesn't melt on a hot day...all that damn plastic.
