Journey to Sisterlocks

After a lifetime of wearing my hair natural (without a relaxer) and months of research, I have finally made the transition to Sisterlocks. The process took 27-32 hours. I want to thank Creyole and Brunsli especially for answering my many questions. I also want to thank my consultant, Jacqueline, for her spirit and attention. I am new to blogging and sisterlocks, but I have posted some pics here. Please do not copy my photos without my permission.

I started my sisterlocks with 12-15 inches of naturally wavy hair. Over the past week, I now know that my hair density is thick, that my cuticle is relatively smooth and slick, and that my hair should have been cut shorter to start the process. By the way, I did cut 2"-4" of hair off to start the process.

If anyone has any comments, questions, or suggestions, I welcome the feedback.
